Standardization rates in Epi R and in general

Dear all,

standardization is very important for comparing data between countries or during long period.
Epi R suggests two packages. One of them is pretty old and remove from CRANG. Successfully , I managed to standardized using both of them and get similar output. However, this output is a bit different than from Joinpoint Regression Program. DSG and Join point refer to gamma distribution. How to explain differences.
